Meet Tim

I am a psychodynamic therapist who works with adults struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, transitions, depression, trauma, and crisis. My work is grounded in empathy and curiosity and my goal is to help you bring those same qualities to your relationship with yourself. I integrate humanistic and mindfulness orientations, as well as thoughtful levity in my practice.  Together, we can build strength, perspective and resilience to explore and address the challenges in your life and find a healthy path forward. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for more than a decade as a journalist in the U.S. and Asia.  My experience in high-pressure, professional environments gives me a strong personal understanding of the challenges many individuals face today. I earned an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College in New York City and a B.A. in journalism from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.   To reach Tim directly, email timsturrock@salixpsychotherapy.com or click the link below.
